An important fact for dining at Harbor Villa Restaurant is that they offer an option for takeout. The takeout counter for Harbor Villa is located next to Safeway. The takeout counter reads Dim Sum to go but in actually, I was informed that ...

This is my favorite dim sum restaurant in the city. Theyve been shut down for health violations, reopened under new management and finally changed their name numerous times. While this scares a lot of people off, to me it just says their food will be cheap and prob more authentic than the hipster dim sum joints that I won't name. They're located upstairs next to the Safeway. They have a huge parking lot that fills up around noon but overall it's rarely a problem finding a spot. They have a takeout window on the first floor, but if you want to dine in, go upstairs. Do not come here if you're looking for good service. This is not what they're known for. They speak broken English, they're generally very short and will only speak with you if you flag them down. This is all fine with me as long as the food stays fresh and hot. For food my go to items are the shrimp har gao, pork shu mai, shrimp cheurn fung, salt and pepper fish fillets, and liu sa bao (salted egg yolk bun). Their fried tofu with shrimp is good, their deep fried shrimp is good, but their Pai gwut (steamed spareribs with black bean sauce) is just meh.

My favorite dim sum spot. Beautiful view of the city and the food tastes authentic (they even have the traditional pushcarts). No photos, we always eat it too fast :)

I usually go to the small area downstairs, for food-to-go. I always get some very good dim-sum and other pastries, and very good flavor. It seems like a very authentic place, I even see tours of visitors from China stopping there, so must be the real deal ;-)

This is a great restaurant if you like Hong Kong style dim sum. Food is top notch and most of my friends tell me that it tastes very authentic. I recommend that you go with a friend that can speak Cantonese or Mandarin to make ordering a bit smoother since the staff speaks limited English. They pass around with carts and you can point at what you want so you can get away with that. I recommend the shumai and fried taro.

Name changed to Harbor Villa: May 2018: Had dim sum for Mother's Day. Food was very good. Variety was on the lighter side. But maybe it's because they were super busy. 2013 Review for All Season's Restaurant: Food is very authentic - they have some specialized dishes from my parents' village in Southern China.

Top notch Hong Kong Chinese with easy parking in San Francisco. I like chicken feet, pigs ears, jelly fish and sea cucumber. My friends don’t. If you want food cooked for American taste, they will do that, but why? Order walnut shrimp and roast duck. Crab in season is not cheap, but you will not regret

Some Chinese restaurant tend to disguise their ordinary skill of seasoning by adding too much star anise, but here, you can enjoy both modest seasoning and original flavor of food.
